Old Time Oven Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients
1 large can of sliced peaches, drained
1 cup Bisquick mix
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar
Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the batter: In an 8 x 8-inch baking dish, mix together the Bisquick mix, milk, nutmeg, and cinnamon until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until fully combined.
Sweeten the peaches: In a separate bowl, gently stir the drained peaches and sugar until evenly coated.
Assemble the cobbler: Spoon the sugared peaches over the Bisquick batter in the baking dish. The batter may rise around the peaches as it bakes.
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the crust is a deep golden brown and firm on top.
Serve warm: Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
